Luly’s vision for the high-end boutique in Old Kirkland downtown blends her global fashion design travels with a French mansion aesthetic, reflecting her cultural background. Textural tiles, a skylight, and a custom chandelier add intricate details and illuminate a wisdom tree symbolizing her heritage. Four fluted columns bring French sophistication, and a hospitality bar with a 3D-carved soft arch and gold leaf finish complements her garments. The second floor serves as a creative studio. The result is an upscale boutique transcending gender and culture boundaries, offering a distinctive and welcoming atmosphere on the Old Kirkland downtown retail street.

The essence of the statement revolves around the profound connection between humanity and the natural elements of the earth and sky. From ancient times, people have found inspiration in the sky, particularly in the beauty and functionality of clouds. The CBD retail project draws inspiration from the movement, formation, and light effects of clouds, symbolizing ascension and transition. The design concept aims to engage visitors visually, with architectural enhancements reflecting the dynamic hues, patterns, and states of water molecules in the sky. Clouds, stars, and sunlight become sources of inspiration, guiding the internal forms and material selection to create elegant and sophisticated interior spaces within the mall.

The design of the IBC is inspired by the district’s aviation history, resembling elegant twin towers shaped like aircraft wings. Symmetrical and aerodynamic, with soft elliptical forms, they create a distinctive profile against the sky. The iconic design serves as a new landmark, offering an efficient planning envelope for office, hotel, and apartment functions. The shared podium features carved volumes, defining retail streets and providing open-edge balcony circulation for vantage points and al fresco dining. These semi-open spaces encourage interaction with the public green space along the waterfront, creating a dynamic gateway for the Jinwan Aviation City and an animated public space for visitors.

V-City in Shenzhen’s Futian district is a mixed-use development featuring a retail galleria, apartment towers, and a serviced-apartment tower. Connected to an urban park, it harmonizes energy and tranquility. The design blends high energy with quiet solitude, creating a cohesive statement inside and out. Threads of V-City transform moments into a captivating experience, reflecting history and time. The interior combines natural and technologic influences, culminating in a vibrant central court with a floating bar. The design features paving patterns, ceramic frit patterns, mesh veils, and suspended lights, creating a sophisticated yet approachable destination. Skylights in the landscaped roof garden transform into undulating patterns, adding a compelling touch to the urban landscape.

The court’s intense grand scale visually and physically connects customers and guest to the multi-level services and destinations within the heart of CXTX AutoMall. The design rhythms and proportions emanate energy upwards from the court’s center, creating high vista platforms to attract activity that in turn radiates vitality back toward court center.
